Siwa is the most isolated big oasis in Egypt over 550 km from Cairo. The best way to get there is from Marsa Matruh driving 300 km on the road. Siwa has nice limestone cliffs around it and has the Great Sand Sea to the south as well as various salt lakes that go from being quite big to drying up during the hottest times of the year. There are charming old buildings in Siwa made from mud from the lakes and Siwa is known across Egypt (and the world!) for its delicious dates and olives.

Day 1: From Cairo to Siwa Via El Alamein:

Our trip begins with an early morning drive from Cairo to El Alamein. The battle of El Alamein is often described as the most decisive victory of WWII. Whilst there you will have time to visit one of the Commonwealth cemeteries. Continuing along the coastal road we pass through Marsa Matrouh where we have time for lunch before heading into the Egyptian deserts to Siwa Oasis. You have the remainder of the evening free to begin exploring intriguing Siwa.

Day 2: Tour in Siwa:

After breakfast, we will take a tour of Siwa. The tour is flexible but one of the main highlights is a visit to the Temple of Oracle, where Alexander the Great is said to have once visited. The afternoon is free for you to continue exploring on your own.

Day 3: Visit Mountain of the Dead and Safari:

One of the most iconic images of Siwa is the almost otherworldly ‘Mountain of the Dead’, which looms over Siwa. Today we visit the mountain of the Dead as well as Old Shali with its labyrinthine streets. In the afternoon we take a jeep safari out into the Great Sand Sea.

Day 4: From Siwa to Alexandria:

We will leave Siwa Oasis this morning and drive back to the coast to Marsa Matrouh. This interesting seaport is home to a large Libyan/Berber population. There is time for a dip in the Mediterranean before taking a stroll around the colorful markets including the Libyan souk. In the afternoon we continue on to Alexandria, where the evening is free to enjoy this historically important city.

Day 5: Alexandria Sightseeing Tour:

After breakfast, start your day tour in Alexandria visit the highlights of the city the Catacomb Tomb and Pompey pillar, and the fortress from outside have lunch then back to Cairo about 3 hours driving. overnight in Cairo

Day 6: Final Departure:

Enjoy breakfast on board. Disembark and get transferred to Cairo Airport for your flight home.

Booking Policy

Price quotes are in US dollars per person per trip and are valid until December 31st, 2021. Please inquire for pricing over Christmas, New Year’s, and Easter holidays

Children Policy

Up to 2 years: FREE
Age from 2 to 11 years: Children price
Ages 12 and Up: adult price.

Notes :

Children policy is applied to children who share rooms with their parents ( Maximum 1 Child sharing parent’s room )
If your tour includes airfare, additional charges for your children may apply.

Booking Policy

We are offering a low down payment of just 10% to secure your spaces on the tour including hotel room, cruise cabin, domestic flight ticket, and other travel-related services. The remaining balance can be paid up to two days prior to your arrival date or in cash upon arrival at the destination to your tour manager, therefore, making your booking a risk-free investment.

Tipping

Tipping for a job well done is customary in Egypt, though not required. Please feel welcomed but not obliged to offer a tip to your guide.

Cancellation Policy

In case you cancel your trip, the following scale of charges will be applied:

From the date of booking until 61 days before your arrival date, 10% of the entire tour price will be charged.
Between 60 and 31 days before your arrival date, 20% of the entire tour price will be charged.
Between 30 and 15 days before your arrival date, 50% of the entire tour price will be charged.
Between 14 and 1 days before your arrival date, 100% of the entire tour price will be charged.

Additionally, there are cancellation fees on all domestic flights within Egypt. If you cancel a tour at any time, you will be subject to any fees according to the airline’s cancellation policy.

Emergency Cancellation Policy

Pesh Tours offers a very flexible cancelation policy in case the government or the airline issues a travel warning from/to your departure country and destination.
